About Lessons

​

Lessons are held in my Ravenna home and are typically 30 or 45 minutes. They emphasize reading music, music theory, improvisation, and music history. All lessons are tailored to the student's preferences, so that no student curriculum is the same. There are three recitals a year, and student performance classes in preparation for the recitals.

My goal is to reach the right balance of learning and fun in every lesson, and to help every student reach their artistic potential at the piano.

Rates are $40 for 30-minute lessons, and $60 for 45-minute lessons.  

 

About the Teacher

​

I hold a BA in Music and Education from Lewis and Clark College am a certified Washington State teacher. I began teaching piano to children while in college, and have been teaching ever since.

 

I also maintain my national certification through the Music Teachers National Association. I am a past board member of the Seattle Music Teachers Association, and remain an active member today.

 

Teaching piano brings me great joy, and I hope to impart a passion for piano in my students!
